A Taste of Tokyo: Boutique Japan x Explore Soigné

An in-depth gastronomic journey through Tokyo's dim-lit alleys and unmarked doors.

June 15-22, 2026 | Eight days, seven nights

This summer, we’re hosting our inaugural tour - A Taste of Tokyo - with our good friends at Boutique Japan.

We have curated a truly intimate experience that also includes behind-the-scenes access for our guests. This once-in-a-lifetime culinary trip is designed for respectful and open-minded travelers with adventurous palates. To maintain a deeply personalized atmosphere for our guests and the brilliant chefs we will meet, space is strictly limited to a maximum of seven guests.

We will be experiencing a mouthwatering and eclectic array of cuisine. Most of our meals will be omakase (chef’s choice) in a tasting menu format, and dietary modifications are not feasible to accommodate. We invite you to join us with an open mind, an empty stomach, and an eagerness to learn about techniques, flavors, and Tokyo's unbelievably rich culinary culture.

Itinerary Highlights

  • A week-long stay at Tokyo’s quietly luxurious Trunk (Hotel) Yoyogi Park

  • An expertly curated selection of some of Tokyo's best sushi, yakitori, and — yes — Neapolitan pizza

  • An intimate kaiseki meal with an acclaimed soba kappo specialist in lantern-lit Arakicho

  • Luxurious French-Japanese dining at the private counter of a brilliant, boisterous chef

  • Fine dining meets theater at an outlandish, virtually impossible-to-book restaurant

  • An unforgettable yakiniku dinner featuring the pinnacle of Yamagata A5 wagyu

  • Private Japanese breakfast at an elegant Zen-inspired contemporary teahouse

  • An innovative sake experience featuring rare and unorthodox nihonshu

  • A behind-the-scenes buyout at one of Shinjuku's top ramen shops

  • Drink pairings and additional experiences as outlined here

Join us on this once-in-a-lifetime culinary tour of Tokyo, hosted by the founders of Explore Soigné (Aria Saam and Nickie Peña) and Boutique Japan (Andres Zuleta).
